On Monday March 22nd, RCC voted down a grant application designed to support infrastructure expenditure on the SGB site. The Parish Council have long campaigned against the size of the development at SGB. Amongst other things a modern new town half as big again as Uppingham, would be a blot on Rutland's landscape. After the government announcement on 22nd February and the roadmap to ease out of lockdown we have been working with our bus operators on re-building our local bus services. Several changes will come into effect from 8th March 2021 including the re-introduction of a Centrebus service 9 between Oakham and Stamford via Whitwell, Empingham and Tickencote.
